Child Health
It is important to protect our children against serious illness where possible. Therefore all children will be sent appointments to attend for routine immunisations. If you are unable to attend on the date/time shown on the appointment card please contact the surgery where you will be offered a more convenient time/date.
If your child misses an appointment for whatever reason and his/her immunisation regime is running late please do not worry, just make sure that you make an appointment as soon as you are able. The important thing to remember is that they do receive the protection offered.
The following table shows the current regime for childhood vaccinations. From time to time the Department of Health introduces changes to the regime. There subsequently follows a 'catch-up' programme. During this time any child who has missed out on any vaccination thought to be beneficial will be invited to attend extra to the schedule shown.
